Nursing principles

Safety: It means the prevention of mechanical, chemical, thermal and bacteriological injuries to the patient and the co-workers and the protection from all nuisance.
Therapeutic effectiveness: It is to achieve the complete effect, purpose for which a procedure is done.
Comfort: To provide comfort and to give satisfaction to the patient and the co-workers.
Use of resources: It implies the right use of time, energy and the material.
Good workmanship: It is the way of doing.
Individuality: It is to consider the needs and problems of a particular patient when a procedure is done.

Scientific principles

It is the application of medical, biological, physical and social sciences:

  • Anatomy and physiology.
  • Microbiology.
  • Nutrition.
  • Pharmacology.
  • Physics.
  • Chemistry.
  • Psychology.
  • Sociology.
